  • Significant Funding: The institute's expansion and the role of these positions are backed by significant external funding, providing a stable and supportive research infrastructure.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

These positions are ideal for candidates who possess a strong academic background and a demonstrable passion for understanding and addressing the unique health challenges faced by rural and coastal populations. We are particularly interested in individuals who can showcase:

  • Expertise in Spatial and Structural Determinants of Health: An understanding of how geographical location and societal structures influence health outcomes is paramount.
  • Experience with Health Outcome Disparities: A proven ability to analyze and research the differences in health outcomes experienced by various communities.
  • Proficiency in Mixed-Method Approaches: The capacity to integrate diverse research methodologies to provide a comprehensive understanding of complex issues.
  • A Genuine Interest in Rural and Coastal Health: A sustained commitment and curiosity towards improving the health of these specific communities throughout your academic journey.

Position Details:

Two positions are available:

  • CHS270: Permanent, full-time (1 FTE).
  • CHS271: Fixed-term for 12 months, full-time (1 FTE).

Both roles offer the opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth and success of LIRCH. This is an exciting chance to make a lasting impact on rural and coastal health research and advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
