Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Technical Foundation: A strong technical background at degree level in disciplines such as mathematics, physics, or any engineering field is essential. While training in NSRP will be provided, a solid analytical and problem-solving mindset is crucial.
  • Comprehensive Safety Assessment Experience: This role encompasses the full probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have experience or a keen interest in:
    • Hazard identification, screening, and assessment.
    • Component and human reliability assessment.
    • Determining initiating event frequencies.
    • Modelling plant behaviour through fault trees.
    • Interpreting and reporting model results to inform design decisions.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: You will be working across various systems and functions, interacting with diverse customers and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships are paramount. Proven technical report writing skills are a must.
