Process Leader (Night Shift)

Introduction to Role:

Are you ready to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at AstraZeneca. We are currently seeking a Process Leader for our Packing Department on a night shift at our Macclesfield campus, the 2nd largest operational site within our global network. This is a key site for launching new products, and your role will be crucial in interfacing across departments to support and lead improvement projects.

This role operates from Monday to Thursday 21:00 to 06:00 and will be a permanent night shift from day 1.

Accountabilities:

As a Process Leader, you will be responsible for managing, providing, and improving your production areas, people, and processes. This includes owning and supporting all aspects of SHE (safety, health, and environment), Quality/GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), LEAN standards, and team development. You will carry responsibility for the day-to-day performance in terms of adherence to plan, operational standards, cost, asset, cGMP, and safety. You will provide clear leadership, direction, and development and will be an inspiring leader who will coach continuous improvement and development so that individuals and the team achieve their potential.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Qualification in a Science or Business subject area or equivalent

- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate others, preferably within a pharmaceutical manufacturing area

- Ability to coach and embed Lean Manufacturing Principles

- Knowledge and application of SHE principles

- Agile with effective analytical skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Experience of FDA/cGMP or other regulated quality system

- Experienced within a unionised environment

- Experience in either formulation, filling, packaging, validation, technology transfer or change control

- Experience of pharmaceutical operations

- Experience in the implementation of digital processes

- Basic project management experience
