The role As a Procurement Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be supporting the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and partners in delivering next-gen of submarine capabilities enhancing availability and through-life performance of in-service Submarines.

Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders daily to provide Babcock's in-service submarine supply chain support and expertise, ensuring strategic outcomes for the MoD.

Key responsibilities include:

Challenge and manage key internal stakeholders to enable transformative practices Introduce innovative ideas from the supply chain Oversee procurement activities and project delivery Deliver and present best practice supply chain reporting, knowledge, and expertise

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Procurement Manager

Proven experience in strategic supply chain planning, transformation, or global sourcing. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries Commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain risk Experience in delivering supply chain improvements

Qualifications for the Procurement Manager

MCIPS accreditation or willingness to work towards this as part of Continuous Profession Development is essential
