Product Specialist – Nephrology

ROLE SUMMARY

Is responsible for generating clinical demand for Nephrology Product Line with key accounts, pro-actively identifying business opportunities, presenting value propositions aligned to stakeholder needs and objectives, and recommending solutions to drive and develop business. Develop strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), Decision Making Unit (DMU), and potentially other stakeholders, based on a deep scientific understanding of the issues to identify the best opportunities to deliver life-changing medicines to patients.

What youll do

Develop account strategy and plans:

Identify opportunities and strategies to improve the positioning of Nephrology Product Line at a local levelWork with sales manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet targets and further improve the positioning of AZ's products at a local levelDrive successful implementation of account strategy and plans with high priority accounts and key partners

Create deep stakeholder relationships:

Engage HCPs in dialogue about approved indications, product efficacy/safety profiles, and treatment protocols to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patientsDrives HCP engagement and education on disease and brand in key accounts with high patient potentialEstablish and maintain ongoing, long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholdersShare stakeholder insight and information within AZ to strengthen relevant activities, e.g., product development, marketing, sales efforts

Build capability and knowledge in the healthcare ecosystem:

Build knowledge and understanding about the value proposition(s) of the Nephrology Product Line, and product's labeled indications and efficacy data among all relevant stakeholders in the MDT and DMUUtilize different communication approaches, techniques, and channels to help build knowledge in the MDT and DMU, includingConduct science-based discussions with the HCP as per the approved indications of AZ's productsArrange multidisciplinary workshops for physicians and other healthcare professionalsArrange and coordinate effective speaker programs with physician advocates and KOLs

Deliver on plans and achieve sales goals on budget

Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts meet or exceed expectations while managing assigned budgetsSuccessfully promote the benefits of AZ's brands, using fair balance messages and the appropriate mix of promotional toolsEnsure AZ's products are optimally utilized in line with national/local guidelines and the product license

Corporate responsibility:

Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinationsComply with all external regulations and internal policiesMaintains highest ethical standards and works in a spirit of AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by corporate policiesEnsures that all conducted activities are done in accordance with local legislation and corporate standards.Timely reports (as per respective procedures): health/environment/wellbeing related accidents; adverse events that you became aware of; change in status of your Conflict of Interest.

Essential for the role

Bachelors degree in pharmaceutical science3+ years of Sales experience within the CVRM therapy area, with demonstrated abilities to handle specialist physiciansProven track record of consistent performance (EC, Meets expectation)Track record of achieving non sales KPIs including Digital KPIsProven track record in influencing the stakeholder decision-making process, proactive generation of initiatives, innovative ideas to tap on opportunities with clear KPIs of measurable impact on business.Proven demonstration of successful working in complex situations with clear examples of problem-solving approaches.Proven tracks record of respected governance while executing businessRole model of being highly structured, organized in work delivery respecting timelines.Patient centricityCustomer value propositionCross functional engagementBusiness AcumenImpact and InfluenceDecision making and problem solving

Advanced sales experience beyond 5 years over all in pharma
