What Awaits You in This Role:

• Hands-on Technical Expertise: You will be instrumental in conducting and supporting routine maintenance and repairs on mtu rail products. This involves meticulously following approved manuals and contractual requirements, ensuring the highest standards of service.
• Embrace Digitalization: This role actively encourages and requires the adoption of digital tools and processes, preparing you for the future of engineering support.
• Continuous Improvement Champion: You will actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for both maintenance activities and procedures. Your suggestions for enhancement will be highly valued.
• Customer Engagement: There will be opportunities to attend and participate in customer meetings, ensuring clear communication and sign-off for work carried out on their critical equipment.
• Problem-Solving Prowess: Undertake complex fault-finding and repair tasks, leveraging your technical knowledge and utilizing essential resources such as technical drawings and fault-finding guides.
• Meticulous Documentation: Accurately complete all relevant documentation to record activities for both the company and the customer, contributing to a robust knowledge base.
• Commitment to HSQE: Proactive involvement in the Company’s Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) management processes is paramount.
• Professional Development: You will have access to local and factory training courses to ensure your skills remain current and you stay at the forefront of industry advancements.
• Team Collaboration: While independent work is crucial, you'll also be an integral part of a team, with the flexibility to support other depots or undertake related activities as reasonably required.
• Resource Management: Accurately report parts used during service work, contributing to effective stock control and accountability.
• Leverage Advanced IT Systems: You will gain proficiency in a range of essential IT systems, including Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Go, Diasys, and Outlook. On-the-job training will be provided for SAP and the MTU Business Portal.

• Strong Engineering Foundation: This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering background and at least an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
