The role As a Programme Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will take responsibility on leading and managing the delivery of complex IT programmes.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage large scale IT projects, driving business transformation, and ensuring successful adoption of initiatives across the organisation which embraces all aspects of business, design, functional and technical build, business acceptance and solution implementation.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT business programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
Develop and maintain detailed programme governance arrangements, plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Ensure that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements within the programme are agreed and conduct the active monitoring of projects against these criteria, taking corrective action as necessary.
Manage cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and external vendors, to ensure cohesive and successful project delivery.
Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact programme delivery, ensuring initiative-taking resolution.
This role is full time 37 hours per week is adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Lakeside Portsmouth or Devonport.

Essential experience of the Programme Manager
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering results.
Extensive project Management experience within a technology environment.
Personable and professional leadership style that is customer focused, and always strives to achieve a win-win scenario despite having to resolve conflict and take complex decisions on behalf of the Group.
Qualifications for the Programme Manager
Programme management qualification such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes).
Project Management qualified such as IS Project Management (Higher Level), MAPM - Member of the Association for Project Management, PMP ® - Project Management Professional, Practitioner Certificate in PRINCE2 ®, Chartered IT Professional (CITP), SCRUM Master, PMI ACP, APMG AgilePM.
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
