The roleAs a Programme Procurement Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Enhance the future of submarine capabilities with your strategic supply chain expertise. Support the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and its partners in advancing next-generation submarine technology, improving availability, and optimising through-life performance of in-service submarines.

Day to day, you’ll drive procurement and supply chain by leading a team of professionals to manage every stage of the contract lifecycle - from pre-contract and mobilisation to execution and through-life support. Ensure seamless delivery of strategic procurement outcomes while optimising performance and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives Build strong supplier relationships and optimise subcontract lifecycle Lead and mentor a high performing procurement team Drive innovation and minimise supply chain risk Provide strategic insights through performance and risk reporting

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Programme Procurement Manager

Expertise in strategic supply chain planning, transformation, or global sourcing in regulated environments Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Commercial awareness with a focus on supply chain risk mitigation Proven track record in driving supply chain improvements Skilled in negotiating complex supplier terms and conditions
