The Opportunity: Shape and Lead Care Excellence

As a Quality Development Manager, you will be instrumental in spearheading the drive for excellence across a portfolio of Care UK homes. This role offers a unique platform to:

  • Drive Strategic Development: Collaborate directly with Regional Directors and Home Managers to shape and enhance care and clinical services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Embed Best Practices: Lead the introduction, engagement, and development of colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and embedding best practices in care delivery.
  • Monitor and Improve Compliance: Oversee and monitor compliance with key care and clinical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as tissue viability, nutrition, end-of-life care, and medication management.
  • Analyze and Respond: Proactively analyze individual home data to identify trends, address concerns, and implement effective solutions to ensure consistently high-quality care.

Key Considerations for Aspiring Candidates:

This role is ideally suited for experienced Registered Nurses who are eager to transition into a leadership position focused on quality assurance and development. To thrive in this position, consider the following:

  • Essential Qualifications: A current, active NMC Pin is a fundamental requirement, signifying your professional standing and expertise as a Registered Nurse.
  • Mobility and Accessibility: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel across the North Midlands Region to support multiple care homes.
  • Experience in Quality & Governance: Previous experience in quality and governance, particularly within a care home setting, will provide a strong foundation for this role. You'll be expected to leverage this knowledge to drive improvements.
  • A Passion for Excellence: A genuine determination to ensure best care practices are implemented and an innovative mindset to achieve this are paramount. This is an opportunity to be a catalyst for positive change.
