Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) are recruiting a Research Associate/Fellow to take a lead role on the PROMISE study. PROMISE aims to create guidelines to support research delivery teams talk to Black women about maternal and neonatal healthcare research opportunities. 

 About you: 

NCTU are seeking to recruit a Research Associate/Fellow to work within our multidisciplinary team. The Research Associate/Fellow will have responsibility for undertaking high quality research within NCTU.

They will be expected to plan and conduct research using research methods (literature reviews, focus groups and consensus workshops), as well as building Patient and Public Involvement (PPI), writing academic papers/reports, and other dissemination activities.  

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in healthcare or a related subject area, or the equivalent in professional qualifications/experience, or be near to completion of a PhD. Candidates should have experience of project management, knowledge and experience of qualitative research methods and an understanding of working with under-represented groups.

This post is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative project between NCTU, Oxford Brookes University and Egality Health. The appointed researcher will be based at NCTU and will report to Dr Sophie Hall. 

NCTU is a rapidly growing UK Clinical Research Collaboration registered Clinical Trials Unit (www.ukcrc-ctu.org.uk) based in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Our mission is to conduct top quality, high impact multicentre clinical trials across a range of health areas which will improve health outcomes. We have a broad, expanding portfolio of trials. In addition, we conduct methodological work to improve the efficiency and quality of trial design, conduct, analysis and reporting. NCTU has close links with NHS Trusts, universities and industry partners.

This post is offered on a part time (29 hours per week), fixed-term contract for 12 months.
