Unlocking the Human Experience of Cancer: A Premier Research Opportunity
This compelling role offers a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated researcher to contribute significantly to our understanding of how cancer impacts individuals' lives. At its core, this position is about leading and coordinating world-class research focused on assessing health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in cancer patients. You will be joining a team that is at the forefront of this vital field, working under the auspices of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment in Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Group (QLG). The EORTC QLG is a globally recognized leader, committed to enhancing the well-being of cancer survivors through rigorous research and the development of sophisticated HRQoL assessment tools.
You will collaborate with esteemed international experts in HRQoL and oncology. Our team has already established a strong reputation through substantial contributions to the EORTC QLG's suite of measures, ensuring you will be part of a high-caliber, impactful research environment. This specific post will primarily drive a multi-center international project dedicated to evaluating the HRQoL of individuals with stomach cancer. Additionally, you will support ongoing EORTC QLG projects, broadening your exposure and expertise. Under the guidance of Dr. Samantha Sodergren, the Senior Research Fellow, you will be instrumental in managing the entire project lifecycle. This encompasses everything from initial protocol design and securing necessary approvals, to navigating research governance, fostering collaborator relationships, establishing research sites, overseeing data collection and analysis, and contributing to the dissemination of findings.
