The Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Business Analyst supports the Business Analysis and Reporting team, monitoring delivery against the University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange strategies.
A significant element of this role will be to acquire, analyse and interpret a range of research-related data and metrics from a number of internal and external data sources that support the University in evidence-based decision making, monitoring its performance and delivery against its goals as well as meeting the expectations of external funders in relation to high quality research outputs and outcomes.
We are seeking a highly organised individual with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills who can help us realise Nottingham’s Research & Knowledge Exchange ambitions.
An awareness of the higher education sector and the role that key metrics play in helping the university achieve its aims is crucial and you will need a strong aptitude for IT generally and a readiness to learn. You will also be expected to be creative in overcoming difficult data issues, comfortable with learning and becoming an expert in new technologies.
The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term contract until 01 April 2027. However applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.
Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
