If so, this role as Research and Innovation Coordinator may be ideal.
The Research and Innovation Coordinator will undertake day-to-day pre- and post-award related tasks for all research and innovation activity at the University. Such activities may include arranging mock interviews for large-scale grants and liaising with funders.
The role holder will work as a member of the Research and Innovation Support (RIS) funding and awards team, facilitating the successful delivery of projects and University research goals and strategies.
As Research and Innovation Coordinator your duties will include:
Undertake a range of administrative responsibilities to support and facilitate the smooth running of research and innovation activity including monitoring all research and innovation applications and outcomesPromote funding opportunities to academic staff together with application processes and deadlinesProvide support, information and advice to academic staff to develop projects, including grants, consultancy and tenders, that are well-written, fully costed and meet funder and university requirementsMaintain an up-to-date record of all research and innovation grants held by staff, to enable progress to be evaluated against plans and metricsThe successful candidate will have/be:
Educated to A level or equivalent Experience of working in an administrative and/or customer facing role in a professional environmentA high degree of numeracy and confidence with figuresAn understanding/appreciation of the HE sector and the key challenges facing research and innovation in a HE environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information to othersAbility to work as an effective part of a team and manage own commitmentsWhat we can offer in return:
