ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

We are looking for a motivated and proactive SEO Intern to join our WEA Digital Team. This role provides hands-on experience in search engine optimization (SEO), content strategy, keyword research, and website performance analysis, working alongside SEO experienced professionals in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

As a SEO Intern, you will work on important projects, be given critical tasks, and receive developmental feedback on a regular basis from your manager. You will learn a whole range of responsible marketing fundamentals from experts in this field. You will gain valuable experience, getting to know everything about how SEO affects our wider business and our global presence. And you will build lasting relationships with those around you – forming that all important network for the future.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist in optimising website content for search engines, including keyword research and on-page SEO techniques.Support the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve organic traffic and search rankings.Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to identify new SEO opportunities.Monitor website analytics, generate performance reports, and provide insights for improvement.Assist in content creation, including meta descriptions, alt text, and SEO-friendly content blocks.Support the deployment of digital campaigns by ensuring SEO best practices are followed.Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in search engine optimisation.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Skills Required

Currently pursuing a university degree (preferably in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or a related field).Displays strong engagement skills and articulates clearly with strong solid content to support his/her line of thought.Creative, in both thinking & execution. Pushes & drives targets hard. Basic commercial acumenQuantitative skills to work with data sets to identify underlying patterns and insightsVerbal and presentation (slide making & delivery) skills Strong written and verbal communication skillsStructured with strong communication skillsAdvanced Excel and Power Point user
