The Opportunity:
As a SIOP Master Scheduler, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process at a local level. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless alignment between demand, supply, and inventory planning across the organization. You will serve as the central point of coordination, bridging the gap between Production Planning, Business & Product Delivery (B&PD), Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain/Transport. This critical role empowers you to influence optimized planning and decision-making that directly supports long-term customer demand and drives key business objectives.
Reporting to the SIOP Manager, you will be based at our Springfields Fuel Site, contributing to a vital part of the nuclear fuel cycle.
Key Responsibilities & Your Impact:
- Lead and Evolve the SIOP Process: Spearhead the monthly local SIOP cycle, encompassing supply reviews and demand/financial reconciliation, while providing comprehensive reporting to the global SIOP Team.
- Strategic Demand & Supply Integration: Actively participate in monthly local and global demand reviews, contributing your insights to shape future plans.
- Master Schedule Development: Develop and maintain a robust master production schedule that is meticulously aligned with demand forecasts and overarching business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with Operations and other key departments to synchronize capacity, production schedules, material requirements, and inventory targets.
- Proactive Risk Management: Identify potential risks, gaps, and opportunities within the supply and demand plan. Recommend effective mitigation strategies and lead cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely issue resolution.
- Scenario Planning & Future Foresight: Conduct insightful scenario planning to assess the impact of demand fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, or capacity constraints, enabling informed strategic decisions.
- Long-Term Business Planning: Generate the critical supply plan for the annual 5-Year Business Plan, ensuring long-term capacity is strategically aligned with forecasted demand.
- Data Integrity & System Optimization: Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters within our planning systems, working closely with the Production Planning Team.
- Continuous Improvement Champion: Drive continuous improvement and evolution of the local SIOP process, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the global SIOP framework.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, SIOP leadership roles, or similar positions within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership Prowess: A proven ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office suite, with particular expertise in Excel.
- Advantageous Skills: Familiarity with SAP and SIMIO is considered a significant plus.
