Role / Team Overview:

The First Line Client Specialist/Sales Support Specialist is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.What you'll be doing:

Work with salespeople, client executives and clients to support all aspects of the client and sales lifecycleLeading strong governance and controlsWork in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructureProactively support sales to manage the ‘First Line of Defence.Ensuring post-trade processes are managed efficiently and effectively such as:- Prompt resolution of booking issues causing operational issues- Prompt resolution of settlement issues and margin disputes etc.,Monitoring of the desks first line controls such as:Minimizing credit line breachesEnsure credit facilities are sufficient and maintained to support tradingAct as a point of escalation and own resolution of operational issues between sales and support functionsDiagnose the root causes as issues arise and identify both tactical and strategic solutions owning the deliveryBuild a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethicsBe familiar with and adhere to Citis Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities ServicesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of client onboarding procedures (KYC requirements, OFAC, etc.)Excellent interpersonal skills related to client interaction, and internal team interactionsProficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and general computer skillsRequires being detail oriented with excellent organizational skillsExcellent problem solving skillsExcellent work ethic Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Education:

Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
