About the College/Department

Our security team are key to the University's success. Generally being the first interaction our customers and visitors will have with us, the service they receive from you and the team will shape their experience.

About the role

As a security team member you will provide a welcoming, safe and secure environment for both staff and students at our Buxton campus. You will be a point of contact for advice, guidance, and will support on all security related matters, also supporting Leek College when required. 

About You

To be successful in this role; you will;

Hold GCSEs grade A – C in Maths and English or equivalent qualificationsHold a security related qualification or be willing to work towards oneHold a full, clean UK driving licenseHave experience providing excellent customer service in a similar customer or security related roleBe able to conduct minor investigations and compile written reports

Important Information

If you are successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The post for which you are applying is exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 requiring any spent convictions to be declared. Salary: £29,494 to £30,398 per annum based on a 37-hour week and including a 20% shift allowance (for exceptional performers, there is scope for further progression up to £34,958 per annum).
