The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1300 people and provide a wide range of services across our U.K sites.An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join the Business Support, Systems and Performance Team (BSSPT). The successful candidate will have responsibility for core financial tasks within the department and will oversee the day to day administrative function within the team carrying out all associated duties including carrying out performance reviews (ADC’s), on the job training and general welfare checks ensuring the team deliver excellent customer service at all times.You will act as the primary point of contact for Senior Department Managers responding efficiently and effectively to internal and external queries and will process and distribute orders via the University finance system, consulting with internal teams and external suppliers as required to ensure orders are raised, processed and terminated correctly in line with university policies, procedures and GDPR. Other duties will include providing advice, support and informal training for staff on University systems and procedures solving problems and providing advice as required.Candidates should be qualified to HNC or HND level or equivalent in a relevant subject plus Have considerable experience in a relevant role or have substantial relevant experience in a similar role. You should also have experience of supervising a team and be able to work and adapt successfully to a fast moving, changeable environment.Further information on the experience and qualifications required for this post can be found on the attached Role profile.This is a Fixed-Term position. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week). The expectation is that at least 3 days per week would be worked onsite. Job share arrangements may be considered.
