The role

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Offering a fantastic and rare opportunity to work within a multi-discipline design team, working on new and exciting projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll be the electrical/mechanical subject Matter Expert to lead the design of a varied project portfolio.

Provide cross discipline technical solutions by developing customer requirements and concepts into high quality products, requirements could be via a detailed specification or verbal explanation of a problem that needs solving. Working within a small team of engineers producing detailed specifications, drawings, overseeing the creation of high-quality designs documentation and other technical deliverables through the lifecycle. To support as required in the preparation of estimates, bid documentation, specification, pricing, tender, Gate and proposal documents for new opportunities. The role requires a good understanding of engineering and design practices as relevant to a design discipline including appropriate CAD skills.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Design Engineer

Significant years' experience in a similar role, delivering M&E design solutions. Experience in electrical/electronic engineering. Experience in undertaking engineering calculations. Experience in technical document production and configuration control. Experience in creating electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications for the Senior Design Engineer

HNC/HND or Degree in engineering or demonstrable experience in relevant roles.
