We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the B&M team at the Support Centre in Speke. This is a full time, office based permanent position.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Performance, we are looking for someone who can join our Finance team in a fast paced, busy department to work across a number of internal projects and consistently deliver high-level results. The role offers excellent visibility to not just the CFO and wider senior Finance team, but also to key members of the senior leadership team across the business.
We are looking for an individual who has a high attention for detail, technically strong and someone who can build and maintain relationships. This role would be perfect for a first-time mover looking to make their first move into industry or for someone who already possesses industry experience. You will be ultimately responsible for working on various internal projects across the year, involved in drafting of the financial sections within the Strategic Report within the Group ARA and assist in the preparation of various investor materials.
Ultimately, this role is a fantastic opportunity to get inside of a FTSE250 retailer and will provide exposure to both inside and outside of the business as it will cut across varying functions but will also offer involve some Investor Relations activities such as liaising with equity analysts.
The key accountabilities in the role are:
Business partnership Providing financial support and challenge the Group’s operational departments by producing analysis to drive business decisions Present financial information to senior stakeholders Involvement with drafting the financial + non-financial sections of the Group Strategic Report Supporting our ESG consultants with data collection across the Group as we get ready to report on CSRD next year Involved in the preparation of investor materials in line with our PLC reporting cycle Be responsible for keeping track of analysts’ forecasts so we can continually track company compiled consensus Various ad-hoc statutory reporting tasks throughout the yearThe ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Excellent communication skills to influence and have confidence to collaborate with stakeholders across the business Comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects and priorities A quick learner who is eager to further broaden their knowledge and develop their career with great exposure to a FTSE250 retailer Energetic and enthusiastic individual that takes a proactive approach to challenges Strong proficiency in Excel (experience with Oracle Finance is a bonus)The role may offer the opportunity for the occasional trip to our subsidiary companies, based in Hull and France.
