The role As a Senior Operational Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Operational Planners to ensure work is effectively planned for, and executed by, operations considering capacity, suitably qualified and experienced person (SQEP), material, facilities and tooling.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for planning of and achieving in-year requirements, tracking, and achieving contracted hours, and being the main point of contact for the customer at the respective locations. You’ll also:

Provide recommendations on improving the current processes related to demand/supply planning To lead all development and training requirements within the team Support the collation regular updates on performance to inform the demand and supply teams. Support the development of scenario planning as required to assist with overall business plans and inventory management. Responsible for ensuring the standardised use of ERP System and ensure correct use by team; providing additional training where required

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. Quarterly travel to Lulworth and Woolwich is required as part of the role.

Essential experience of the Senior Operational Planner:

Strong data analytical skills General business management skills with a proven track record of innovation and change, delivering measured benefit. Experience in planning capacity, SQEP, material, facilities and tooling Knowledge of the supply chain i.e. consumables and repairable

Qualifications for the Senior Operational Planner: MCIPS or Project Management Qualification, i.e. APMP and/or PRINCE 2 Practitioner
