We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Senior Team Member.
About the role
As a Senior Team Member, you will be part of the maintenance team working towards set production targets to ensure trains meet ever exacting and challenging standards, ensuring they are delivered to customers on time and safely.
In this role, you will:
Service, maintain, repair and overhaul traction and rolling stock components and complete plant equipment inspectionEnsure that both individual and team production targets are metCarry out all work to agreed standards, ensuring that all work undertaken is recorded and signed off on the prescribed documentationPerform fault finding on rolling stock as directed by Team LeaderSupport and give guidance to all members of the teamAbout you
You will have practical experience of mechanical and electrical engineering within a busy and quality focused environment and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 standard in a relevant mechanical/electrical (or dual-skilled) engineering or maintenance discipline (e.g. Traction and Rolling Stock), or have completed a recognised apprenticeship. Ideally, you will bring knowledge of ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 and have knowledge or experience of railway industry recognised standards.
You will be an excellent communicator and team player, who thrives working at pace in a collaborative environment.
Our depots operate 24/7 and you will work shifts, for which you will receive a shift allowance. You also need to live within 60 minutes’ travelling time of the depot or be prepared to re-locate so that you are if offered the role.
