Job Description: Service Coordinator Basinghall Clinic, London EC2V 5BQ Bank Contract £16ph This role is to help cover annual leave and sickness. There may be some ad hoc days here and there so hours will differ week to week. A normal shift would be between the hours of 8am and 6pm. We make health happen. Working in our support functions you’ll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards patient care. Role Overview As a Service Coordinator, you will ensure all administrative activities required within secondary care services in the Basinghall Clinic are managed effectively and efficiently to provide world class care to patients and provide a positive consultant experience. You’ll proactively support specialty services including but not limited to Breast care, Prostate and Urology services, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology, Maxillo-facial and ENT, Orthopaedics, Sports and Exercise Medicine and Radiology. You’ll help us make health happen by: To welcome all patients, visitors and consultants to the clinic in a professional, friendly, courteous and helpful manner, to assist in and provide the highest standard of patient care. To complete all administrative tasks within the secondary care service lines in Basinghall Clinic, with particular focus on specialty services, accurately and efficiently in line with key performance indicators set by the clinic management team. Where required, complete any front of house/general administrative tasks within Basinghall Clinic. Coordinate clinics, radiology services and specialty pathways within Basinghall, communicating effectively with both patients and other clinicians involved in delivering care. Support administrative tasks for the Radiology service including but not limited to scheduling, sending reports and liaising with referrers and reporters. Be the point of contact for front of house admin team members to refere any patient queries regarding specialty services within Basinghall, including those from the local mailbox. Diary management and liaison with consultant PA and practice managers regarding any issues related to the above. Ensuring any relevant results from secondary care clinics are dispatched to appropriate consultants or their practice managers in a timely manner. This includes effective management of abnormal results and informing the consultant of these quickly. It may also include follow up of suppliers to ensure effective turnaround within any agreed specialty service line SLAs. Ensuring all patient details are correct, return appointments booked (where necessary), changed and rescheduled on BOSS/Meddbase/Compucare Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Administration experience within a healthcare environment Direct facing Patient/Client interaction Experience with diary management Proven experience of delivering customer services to an exceptionally high standard Excellent organisational skills IT literate – Microsoft office proficient Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills with attention to detail Able to build rapport easily Benefits Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
