The Council is continuing to develop its Adult Social Care offer, ensuring that we can be supportive and responsive to resident needs.
We are looking for an experienced and confident professional to join our senior leadership team as the service manager for Safeguarding and Mental Capacity.
This role will hold responsibility for our Safeguarding Adults Hub, which was created in January 2025 following the introduction of our new safeguarding operating model. In addition to this, the role also requires oversight of the Council’s Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team and BIA framework, along with our county wide Review Team.
Therefore, we are seeking a candidate who has a proven track record in demonstrating excellent leadership and someone who has a strong understanding of the legislation and frameworks which underpin this important area of our business.
About You:
You have demonstrable operational management experience in a social care service environment.You have strong communication skills to deal with a range of customer related queries.You are an experienced leader, who can positively motivate others.You have extensive experience of working within a CQC regulated environment.You have a strong understanding of compliance, regulation, policy and procedures in a social care.You can effectively manage service budgets and all associated resources.You have demonstrable evidence of supporting change management.You are experienced in undertaking management responsibility for staffing related matters and working within employment legislation.You have demonstrable experience of working with others to effectively build networks and partnerships with key stakeholders.If so, we want to hear from you!
