We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.  Supervisor - Leadership & Professional Development 12 Month Secondment / Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave Location - UK Flexible This role is key in developing and implementing new learning design to support organizational needs as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines such as technical learning, learning design, e-learning development and classroom learning. Working with stakeholders to understand learning needs and develop suitable learning solutions or modify existing ones and then work across learning teams and with subject matter experts to develop learning content, mobilise this content and evaluate its effectiveness. Experience of developing e-learning content is essential, creating compelling and engaging training solutions Accountabilities Be the lead designer on major and cross business unit design projects, responsible for ensuring the design meets the needs of each of the business strategy and goals Programme lead design projects end to end, which involves concept, definition, implementation, handover and closeout Responsible for overall management of major and cross business unit learning solution design at all times - maintaining project documentation, plans and course folders during the project lifecycle Responsible for the collaboration of content, in the desired timescales Understand the strategic direction of each business unit ensuring cross functional alignment to the wider Centrica strategy Responsible for driving effective design across all units during cross function design Produce well planned storyboards, encapsulating all areas, which could include video scripts, digital instructional copy Design bespoke instructional and blended learning solutions including assessments and simulations for a variety of subjects across all business units within Centrica Develop, analyse and challenge learning aims and objectives. Work with colleagues and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design solutions that align with these Attend and contribute to design and scoping meetings with colleagues. Demonstrate solid experience in using ‘Action Mapping’ methodology in scoping. Job Description Lead colleagues to create compelling and engaging training solutions. Ensure excellent quality of deliverables to all units across Centrica and conduct performance needs assessments Work with the Employee Experience team, colleagues and client stakeholders/SMEs to ensure suitable evaluation metrics are defined at design stage. The metrics are measurable in terms of quantitative and qualitative data for all programmes Use feedback and post course evaluations to recommend changes to enhance training collateral and materials, ensuring learning outcomes and objectives are achieved Have an expert knowledge of learning trends and develop innovative ideas. Research new learning solutions/tools and make recommendations for technologies Centrica could invest in to help deliver the learning strategy. Competencies Excellent training design skills including the ability to creative innovative solutions Experience of working in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines in a fast paced ever changing business Solid Training project and programme management skills including managing virtual projects Excellent organisation skills – with strong, proven focus on delivering results / outcomes within required timeframes Professional credibility reflecting the Centrica values Experience of working as part of a team and the ability to work largely self managed with guidance and direction Evidence and passion for continued professional development within the Behavioural leaning segment Ability to work as part of and the development of a remote team. Customer focused- always ensuring that learning content is focused on doing what right for our learners and ultimately the Centrica customer.
