What we achieve together

Reporting to the System Sales and Design Manager, the successful applicant will work within the System Sales & Design team as a specialist in heating system design. Assist and support the sales teams and their customers with heating system designs and technical advice on the heat pump and boiler systems, accessories, controls & cylinders into the domestic & commercial sector of the HVAC market. Communicate on a high-end technical sales level with the sales teams and people from all aspects of the industry including, contractors/installers, local authorities, specifiers/consulting engineers & end using clients. Provide technical support to clients at specification & project design stage and to installers at installation / commissioning stage. A fundamental part of the role is to effectively communicate and understand the needs of customers and help to provide the technical & sales support that they need. The role can be home based if Vaillant is satisfied that the home facilities are suitable, however occasional attendance at Belper and other Vaillant offices in the UK will be required.

What makes us successful together

Qualifications: HNC/HND or equivalent or practical qualification, e.g. City & Guilds Craft Certificate in an HVAC engineering discipline. Any qualifications in heat pump system design would be an advantage. Familiar and confident with interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme would be an advantage and the ability to use Microsoft products outlook excel, PowerPoint. You have a good understanding of products and processes in the new build and commercial heating sector would be an advantage. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn new concepts whilst setting an example of promoting Quality Culture through the business.
