This position offers a competitive salary of £35,000 DOE, reflecting the importance of your expertise. Key Responsibilities and Daily Impact

Your day-to-day will involve a comprehensive range of duties designed to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction:

  • Responsive Maintenance: Attending on-site and remote calls to address system faults efficiently.
  • First-Time Fixes: Aiming to resolve issues during the initial visit, showcasing your problem-solving prowess.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Executing scheduled checks to ensure the reliability and longevity of security systems.
  • System Configuration: Accurately collecting and recording vital site configuration data.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining meticulous and timely documentation for all activities.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: Participating in a rotating on-call schedule to provide continuous coverage.
  • Project Commissioning: Overseeing the successful implementation of smaller project installations.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting audits to uphold stringent quality procedures.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Providing valuable training to both customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptability: Undertaking any additional tasks as required to support the team and business objectives.

What G4S is Looking For

To excel in this role, candidates will possess a strong foundation of experience and essential personal attributes:

  • System Expertise: Proven experience in servicing a wide array of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Fire Alarm Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with fire alarm systems, with a preference for GENT-based systems.
  • IT Acumen: Solid technical IT knowledge, including installation of various Windows Operating Systems and networking principles.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to completing paperwork accurately and adhering to procedures within designated timelines.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: An enthusiastic team player with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Essential Requirements (Must-Haves)

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to pass BS7858 screening.
  • A clean, full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Willingness to undergo further screening if required for specific government sites.
