Job Title: Tank Farm Operator- Secondment Location: Port sunlight factories Work-Level: CB5 We have a secondment opportunity in our Personal Care factory for a Tank Farm Operator to Job Share â working hours up to 22.5 per week. The secondment is for a period of up to 6 months with a potential for it to be a longer term/permanent arrangement JOB PURPOSE ⢠To supervise the safe & efficient off loading of bulk liquid tankers. ⢠To supervise the safe & efficient loading of wastewater tankers. ⢠Maintain the continued delivery of these materials to the Making Plant. ⢠Act safely and protect yourself and others ⢠Run equipment to meet targets ⢠Ensure plant, equipment and operating environment remains clean ⢠To carry out autonomous maintenance as appropriate ⢠Monitor and develop own skills and competencies in line with business needs ⢠Help colleagues in delivery of our factory objectives ⢠Communicate issues and concerns to the appropriate individuals ⢠Seek understanding of, and follow, site procedures RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that tanker drivers follow all the site safety, quality and hygiene rules e.g. Wearing PPE, following correct connection & disconnection procedures, etc. Support UMS program by performing autonomous maintenance activities as per the Schedules issued by the making Support Group & also provide written feedback. Ensure that UMS/improvement activities are progressed during periods of inactivity (i.e. Autonomous Maintenance; define, follow and maintain 5S; Loss Root Cause Analysis etc.) Record (in the appropriate logbooks) all issues that occur on the staggered days for the shift operation. Use the SAP system for Goods Receipting all deliveries (expected deliveries and posting stocks). Good working knowledge of relevant SAP modules waste water Maintain regular communication with the planning team, team leaders and making plant leader and Quality. Carry out regular stock taking activities on the Bulk Silos (Solids & liquids) Waste management with particular focus on Dealing with minor spillages and their subsequent elimination Taking responsibility for Area and Visual Management in terms of health, safety and the environment and to ensure injury / non injury incidents are reported Comply with COMAH in respect to PSL being an upper tier site Understand how to use the software packages for the operating systems Working with COSHH Assessments Following and maintaining a hygienic standard ALL ABOUT YOU Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications: Experience operating plant equipment including pumps, pipelines, valves, filter units, tanks and process control equipment. Experience of compressed air systems. Good working knowledge of the equipment in a Tank Farm areas COSHH standards and awareness Environmental standards as described in ENV 14000 Safe working practices Can demonstrate understanding and experience of working with TPM tools and techniques, particularly with regards autonomous maintenance and 5S. Experience of contributing to a safety and environmental culture via active participation in safety initiatives. Good IT Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint High level of safety awareness, to include Manual handling assessments, task hazard analysis and Du Pont auditing Good working knowledge of SAP/Ariba Knowledge of stock taking and making processes would be desirable Minimum education level GCSEs, O-levels or equivalent in Maths, English and Science Basic level of numeracy, literacy and computing skills Desired previous experiences Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment Practical creativity and manual dexterity NOTES Please apply via this portal as e-mail applications may not be processed and include your Future Fit Plan if possible.
