Technology Delivery Lead | Barclays | NorthamptonWere looking for a Technical Delivery Lead (VP) to join our Enterprise Data Platforms team and play a vital role in our strategic migration of key technologies from on-premise systems to cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical proficiency in one or more of the following: SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, Ab Initio, or similar technologies.In this role, you will work as part of a wider project team to facilitate the migration of platform tenants and their associated code and data. This includes supporting technical discovery and analysis to ensure the right cloud technologies are adopted, identifying gaps in our current decision-making frameworks, and working with cross-functional teams to enhance these for future use. Youll also engage directly with stakeholders to understand their needs, advise on potential changes to ways of working, and help navigate complex or challenging scenarios.Youll be expected to lead or support specific technical deliverables as part of the broader programme, contribute to technical design reviews, and participate in discussions around platform strategy. Additionally, you may be called upon to produce technical designs or solutions, collaborating with other teams to resolve challenges. The role requires someone comfortable working independently, managing multiple workstreams, and maintaining a clear view of both the detail and the wider business context.

Essential Skills

Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, Ab InitioProven ability to manage multiple streams of work while understanding upstream and downstream impactsComfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliveryAble to conduct detailed discovery and analysis of data and processes in a methodical wayClear and concise communicator, able to present technical findings to a range of audiences

This role is based in Northampton.You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities

Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
