As a Tool Maker, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, responsible for the creation, maintenance, and calibration of a wide array of tooling, dies, machining, and inspection fixtures.   • Precision Manufacturing and Repair: Crafting and maintaining critical tooling, dies, and fixtures that are essential for our production and assembly lines.
  • Fixture Care and Calibration: Adhering to rigorous fixture care plans and utilizing advanced techniques, including first principles and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), to calibrate specialized product tooling.
  • Diagnostic Precision: Employing precision diagnostic instruments to identify and address any issues with equipment.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Analyzing equipment data to implement the most effective repair, modification, or fabrication strategies. You'll also contribute to key performance indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department.
  • Technical Interpretation: Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings to guide your work.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Proactively identifying and recommending enhancements to tooling, dies, machining, and inspection fixtures. You'll also have the chance to suggest optimizations for work instructions to refine maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborative Engineering: Working closely with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and implement requirements, and supporting equipment Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineers when needed.
  • Ensuring Reliability: Consistently performing maintenance activities to guarantee the safety and reliability of equipment and facilities to the highest performance standards.
  • Team Development: Contributing to the successful induction of new team members and supporting cross-training initiatives within the team.
  • Problem-Solving Excellence: Applying your strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, honed by training and experience, to make impactful recommendations.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Meticulously completing and maintaining documentation and records in line with company standards, and supporting business control and audit requirements.
  • Safe Equipment Operation: Safely operating site-specific equipment with appropriate training.
