Trading Underwriter - Property & Liability Are you someone who is passionate about partnering with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs? Aviva are looking for Underwriters to join our teams to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customer to proactively develop and profitable grow their commercial book of business! This role does require you to go out on broker visits across the North West broker market so there is a need to be flexible with travel. A bit about the job: To be a multiclass underwriter who operates within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the book of business To be a great communicator who regularly has meaningful face to face meetings with brokers and/or customers to build their confidence in us and to make Aviva their insurer of choice To deal end to end with brokers/customers book of business To embrace and understand our SME strategy To be curious to grow understanding of the commercial business Skills and experience weâre looking for: Previous property & liability underwriting experience is essential The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers Work collaboratively within a large complex organisation Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases What youâll get for this role: Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow â is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
