You will be surrounded by curious, passionate, and open-minded professionals eager to learn and follow the science, fostering your growth in a truly collaborative and global team Introduction to Role The translational PKPD team provides global leadership in DMPK science on Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) and Radioconjugates (RCs) at AstraZeneca. We advise drug discovery project teams on DMPK and PKPD strategy, explore the PK/PD/Efficacy relationships in pre-clinical models, use these models to build quantitative understanding of the dose & schedule requirements for therapeutic intervention across different cancer patient populations. Embedded within the Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology (CPQP) department, we work closely with Clinical Pharmacology colleagues - this positioning provides a unique bridge from discovery to the clinic, offering opportunity to also learn about Drug Clinical Development phases. As an intern, you will help advance our translational PKPD approaches for ADCs and RCs —contributing analyses that inform dose selection, schedule optimization, and mechanistic understanding— while gaining hands-on exposure to model-based decision-making in a highly collaborative, impact-driven environment.AstraZeneca has partnered with the Royal Society of Chemistrys Broadening Horizons in the Chemical Sciences programme,, to support chemists from minoritised racial and ethnic backgrounds pursue careers in the chemical sciences. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Desirable:Familiarity/Experience with ADME and PKPD aspects of large molecules
Familiarity/Experience with PKPD (and related) mathematical modelling
Hands-on experience with Matlab, Simcyp, R, or other PKPD-relevant software
