As a Value and Access Manager at AstraZeneca, you will co-lead the development of high-quality national and subnational strategies for in line and pipeline assets alongside Health Economics colleagues. As part of your responsibilities, you will partner with national HTA organizations, partners, and cross-functional teams to secure access and funding for our transformative medicines. Your expertise in the UK market access environment will be crucial in developing optimal access strategies and leading associated UK pricing strategies.

Accountabilities

Lead the delivery of HTA submissions, including strategy development and communication of risks and mitigation plans with collaboratorsRepresent AstraZeneca at public committee meetings and other HTA-associated meetingsCollaborate closely with Health Economics colleagues on strategy and execution of HTA submissionsSupport delivery of subnational activities for inline brands and pipeline assetsLead the development and coordination of responses to national guidelines and access policy consultations with cross functional teamSupport and where appropriate lead delivery of market access activities relating to AstraZenecas pipeline assetsEstablish effective ways of collaborating with cross-functional teams including UKMC, global partners, and customersFoster positive relationships with global, regional, and UKMC customers to ensure HTA evidence requirements are met.Inform UK pricing strategy for launch/in-line brands in collaboration with pricing colleaguesMaintain understanding of the NHS environment and policy changes impacting access and ensure compliance with all AstraZeneca and ABPI governance frameworks and policies

Essential Skills/Experience

First degree in life sciences, epidemiology or related fieldMore than 3 years healthcare, pharmaceutical industry or consultancy experienceStrong understanding of HTA needs and proven experience of developing and delivering high quality HTA submissionsAnalytical clinical skills and conceptual understanding of evidence synthesis and outcomes research methodologiesExcellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of collaboratorsDemonstrable effective collaborator management and influencing skillsDemonstrable record of collaborative working, and personal delivery to agreed timelinesExcellent understanding of UK healthcare environment to ensure effective value arguments based on clinical and cost-effectiveness evidence at national and subnational levelExcellent understanding of priorities of collaborators and partners outside the companyDemonstrable project management skills

Desirable Skills/Experience

Post graduate degree in Health Economics, life sciences, epidemiology or related fieldExperience of managing external supplier and/or customer relationshipExcellent understanding of/experience working in the NHSTechnical Health Economics experience
