The role

As a Vehicle Decommissioner, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to support national security and defence. You’ll work within our specialist decommissioning team, ensuring vehicles that have served the police are prepared to the highest standards for their next chapter. This is a hands-on role where your skills will make a tangible difference, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:

Strip vehicles including cars, vans, trucks, and motorbikes of police specific equipment Remove electronics, specialist fittings, and security components Complete accurate paperwork for each vehicle processed Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and production teams Maintain high standards of safety and compliance throughout all tasks

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

The role is based onsite at Walsall, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm and Friday 7:00am–12:00pm (or 8:00am–5:00pm / 8:00am–1:00pm), totalling 39 hours per week. Overtime opportunities are available.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Decommissioner:

Knowledge of cars and vans and ability to strip vehicles down Skilled in using hand tools (own tools required; larger tools provided onsite)

Qualifications for the Vehicle Decommissioner:

Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance for this role.
