The job itself

Due to internal promotions and retirement, there is a great opportunity to join the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Fleet Services as a Vehicle Technician at our 3 depots Beverley Carnaby and Goole, which is an integral part of an award winning and successful council. The vehicle maintenance is looking to expand through recruiting several highly skilled experienced vehicle technicians on various shift patterns including Mobile Technicians.

This will enable us to keep up with the demands of maintaining the council’s diverse and varied fleet.

Applicants must have experience of working within a vehicle maintenance workshop, duties include pre planned maintenance, have knowledge in preparing vehicles for both MOT and LGV Plating Tests, seasonal overhaul work of ride on mowers, gritters and road maintenance machinery, in depth diagnostics using several different pieces of equipment
