Key Responsibilities and What You'll Be Doing:
As a Port Operator, you will be at the heart of our port operations in Teignmouth. Your daily activities will be diverse and engaging:
- Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of cargo handling machinery, including Front Loading Shovels, Forklift Trucks, Skid Steers, Mobile Lifting Platforms, Mobile Material Handling Cranes, Tug Masters, and Bagging Equipment.
- Cargo Management: Prepare, move, and manage diverse types of cargo, playing a crucial role in stevedoring activities and supporting general port operations. This includes the organised movement of stores.
- Maintaining Port Excellence: Uphold high standards of housekeeping across the port, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Basic Maintenance: Undertake essential maintenance tasks on port equipment and infrastructure, contributing to the longevity and reliability of our assets.
