Weâre looking for a hands-on, people-focused Workshop Manager for our Lillyhall depot, supporting a fleet of over 87 vehicles across West Cumbria. What youâll be doing, As Workshop Manager, youâll play a central role in ensuring our fleet is clean, safe, and road-ready. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, youâll lead and support a diverse team of skilled colleagues, including Engineers, Technicians and Cleaners, creating a positive environment where people thrive. Leading and motivating your team to deliver safe, reliable and well-presented vehicles Scheduling and prioritising vehicle maintenance and servicing activities Supporting team development, identifying training needs and fostering continuous improvement Quality checking vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards are met Upholding health, safety and environmental standards in line with legislation and Stagecoach policy What weâre looking for, Relevant engineering experience, including mechanical, electrical and bodywork knowledge Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant engineering field (mechanical or automotive) Experience managing or supervising a workshop or technical team, and a strong understanding of PCV operations Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory standards A people-centred approach to leadership, with strong communication and influencing skills Ability to plan, analyse, and make confident decisions in a dynamic environment Why join Stagecoach?
