Bubwith Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in the classroom supporting a Year 4 class child with an EHCP, to start from September 2025. The position is fixed term for a year.
The ideal applicants will be willing to work with children within a school environment and be able to demonstrate the competencies detailed in the employee specification.
The successful candidates will ideally have knowledge/experience of SEND particularly in supporting pupils with neuro-divergent conditions and physical/medical needs, be a good communicator and able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.
The work pattern may include support across lunchtimes but is typically 8.45-12.30 (18.75 hrs). Some flexibility may be required and availability to cover staff absence etc.
Main duties include:
Working in the classroom supporting a child with an Education Healthcare Plan.Supporting and promote self-care.Assisting with lunch and break time supervision of pupils on a rota basis.Helping with educational visits and outings.Support the use of specialist equipment and procedures including, moving and handling to meet a childs individual need.The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:
