About the role
The Community, Health and Social Work team has a long-established reputation for high-quality Community and Youth Work education, strong employer partnerships and professionally relevant apprenticeship provision. You will be part of a supportive academic team that values sector experience, reflective practice and high standards of student learning. The role offers flexibility with work primarily being undertaken during the summer months, delivering independent, high-quality End-Point Assessment for our Level 6 apprenticeship. There may also be opportunities to contribute to teaching across Community and Youth Work programmes. You will work with committed colleagues, regional employers and practitioners.
What you can bring
You will bring strong professional experience in youth and community practice, combined with skills in structured assessment and professional judgement, the confidence to assess evidence objectively and impartially. You have excellent communication, analytical and record-keeping abilities to deliver high-quality assessment and grading decisions, and the independence required to maintain impartiality while contributing to teaching on CYW modules where appropriate.
