Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Financial accounts responsibilities will include the Fixed Assets Register, production of the University’s Corporation Tax and VAT returns, cash forecasting and completion of external returns.Management accounts queries will include coordination of the annual budget, production of the monthly management accounts, making accruals and prepayments and responding to accounting queries.Authoritative point of contact for external stakeholders as well as senior administration managers, PVCs and Directors internally in relation to their role.For informal enquiries about this vacancy, you may wish to contact: Jaime French, Head of Accounts at [email protected]
As Accountant, you will have:
Experience working in a finance setting at an equivalent levelStrong interpersonal skills and excellent technical capability.Ability to develop and enhance computerised management systems, including advanced Excel to create, update and manage workbooks and to analyse and report on dataAbility to organise own personal workload and work effectively under pressure, prioritising whilst meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce and articulate, clear and concise reports, policy and business documentsExcellent and demonstrable customer service skillsAt Edge Hill University we value the benefits a rich and diverse workforce brings to our community and therefore welcome applications from all sections of society.
