We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistants to join our Financial Transactions Team at the Royal College of Art. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the College.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a high-quality Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable service, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions in line with College policies. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
Raise and issue tuition fee and customer invoices using Agresso and ThesisManage student, sponsor, and customer accounts, including payments, credit notes, and refundsPerform credit control and issue payment remindersSet up and manage student payment plans and process cash receiptsReconcile control accounts and organise cheque bankingAdminister corporate credit cards, post journals, and reconcile accounts monthlyProvide direct support to students and stakeholders via appointments and queriesAccounts Payable
Process invoices, credit notes, and ensure accurate codingMaintain and update supplier records and bank detailsResolve invoice and supplier setup issuesRun payment processes and reconcile supplier accountsManage queries and assist with monthly journalsGeneral Duties
Deliver excellent customer service, responding promptly to finance queriesPrepare journals, raise requisitions, and assist with reconciliationsSupport internal users with Agresso/Thesis and deliver training sessionsContribute to year-end and audit preparationsMaintain up-to-date finance content on the College intranetCollaborate across departments to improve finance processesWhat We’re Looking For You’ll be an organised, adaptable team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to take ownership of your work. Experience working with finance systems such as Agresso and Thesis, and a solid understanding of accounts receivable/payable processes will be advantageous.
