Weâre looking for bold, optimistic people with a strong experience supporting British businesses in one or more of the following sectors: Legal & Professionals, Manufacturing, Retail & Wholesale, Real Estate, Technology/Media/Telecoms. What youâll be doing: Understand the people within the businesses that make them 'tick' - and form an expert view of how we can best serve different personas, partnering with our Customer Experience and Insight team who serve up details quant and qual customer research. Design sector propositions which exploit our existing product, channel, service and insights offerings, and test and learn new offerings including valuable services. Use your knowledge of the customer sector and external market to find opportunities and help us craft key USPs for our offering. Drive income in our priority sectors and segments by supporting the acquisition of new business. Build robust commercial strategy with a strong focus on economics and returns, to ensure we win high-quality, value-accretive business. Work with our colleagues in Relationship Management, Client Insight & Value teams, and BCB Credit Risk teams to advise our credit appetite for the sector. Partner with our Brands, Marketing and Experience, and GCA teams to define then deliver a compelling marketing and communications plan to reach our target customer audiences and generate sales leads. Collaborate relentlessly: working with teams across Business Banking, Relationship Management, Lending & Working Capital, Cash Management & Payments, Merchant Services, and the wider business. Help curate and write sector insight and thought leadership, using LBG's insight and data assets (including our Retail big dataset from 20m consumers across the UK). Put the customer at the heart of your work - thinking about their needs, preferences, 'jobs to be done' and key moments of truth' at sector and sub-sector level. Consider the needs of under-served customer groups within the sector, to contribute to our Social Sustainability objectives. What youâll need: Confirmed experience of the UK commercial banking market and economic context. Strong customer focus coupled with commercial awareness and able to understand the key drivers of customer / shareholder value. Experience defining or delivering customer growth strategy and commercialisation initiatives. You're bold with the ability to deliver with urgency and pace. Proven experience of developing customer product / propositions. The ability to translate qualitative and quantitative insight on customer needs and preferences into compelling propositions and solutions. Issue based problem solving together. Youâll bring structure to poorly defined, unstructured problems. Youâll be able to break down problems step-by-step and build realistic action plans to answer big questions. Structured communication and impactful storytelling: we need to pitch strategic recommendations at the right level, giving decision-makers key messages and stories which resonate. Analytical rigour: youâre comfortable with quantitative data analysis and engaging with our partners in Portfolio Analytics & Insight to 'test and learn' our approach to segmentation based on findings from the data.
