We are looking for an Associate Product Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and can work in a team to confidently steer the direction of our products based on both current and future business challenges our customers face - ensuring we continue to offer best in class products.

This is a key role in our Proposition team, working with an engineering manager and a software development team to prioritise the team’s backlog and ensure that the team are delivering value for our customers and our business.

Responsibilties

Working with your peers to determine improvements to the Nominet suite of Products

Document any findings within a product backlog and ensure they align with business goals

Own and manage product backlogs

Create detailed, actionable requirements in Jira

Work with other Product Managers and collaborate with designers, developers, QA testers and subject matter experts to ensure requirements are scoped, designed, tested and launched successfully

Assist with discovery activities to inform product direction, e.g. answer questions or test hypotheses using data sitting within databases or log files

Work closely with the Product Managers to understand the product roadmap and business rationale behind the suite of Nominet products

Research and plan any new product documentation required, and work with Product colleagues to produce and maintain it in digital formats.

Work with the Service Delivery team to ensure any Product documentation is complete and fit-for-purpose to allow the onward creation of training materials

Prepare communication briefs for technical changes, including drafting the technical detail if external notices are required

Ensure an understanding of the different audiences for our documentation and compose any materials accordingly.

About you and your experience

1-2 years’ experience working within a team that works closely with Product or Technical teams

Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal

Natural ability managing a range of stakeholders, both internal and external

Detail oriented

Nice to have

Been a Product Owner for one or more software engineering teams

A thirst to experience different facets of working within a Product Team whilst learning about Internet related technologies

Interview process

1st stage: Introduction call with a member of the TA team (30 mins)

2nd stage: Hiring manager interview (60 mins)

3rd stage: Peer interview (60 mins)
