Business Continuity Manager Home Based We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager to join Capita Pensions Solutions (CPS). In this stand-alone role you will ensure that the CPS Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) is sufficiently robust to deliver a consistent, effective, and compliant approach to manage business resilience in line with client contractual requirements and the International Business Continuity Management Standard ISO22301. Job title: Business Continuity Manager Job Description: Key responsibilities Develop BCMS objectives and monitor performance to ensure business continuity and incident management capability meets ISO22301 and Group Business Continuity Standard including development and maintenance of BC Plans, Business Impact Analysis, exercising/testing, awareness of roles/responsibilities and supplier assurance. Maintain a clear understanding of the ISO22301 Standard requirements through demonstrating a good understanding of linked processes and procedures and collaborate on a regular basis to support business areas and the Quality Team. Manage ISO22301 internal and external audits, close out of corrective/preventive actions addressing root cause, escalate issues and implement effective corrective action to prevent recurrence to ensure continued certification. Produce reports for stakeholder reporting at risk committee, regulated board and client level as required. Work with Group Resilience and other Capita divisions to support standards and C2 software development and maintenance. Provide Incident Management support and invocations, coordinate Incident Response Team and support functions (that may entail out of core business hours), facilitate responses, and produce post-incident reports for Key Stakeholder and SMF24 approval Support Bids & Acquisitions as required and provide key SME Business Continuity support for onboarding projects with capability to translate complex concepts/ requirements into practical effective recovery solutions and strategies Key Tasks Coordinate, provide technical support and coaching to Incident Response Team members using Continuity2 for BIA, BCP activities and colleague contact lists. Manage BC education & awareness activity across the CPSL business unit. Effectively manage the delivery of BC activities in line with the Assurance Calendar schedule. Liaise, communicate, and meet with all stakeholders across the CPSL business unit, Group functions, Suppliers/OSP and Clients to ensure BC is adequately maintained. Support the CPSL business unit with incident management subject matter expertise as required and ensure timely escalation of incidents. Oversee the rectification of shortfalls and report on effectiveness of the solution and timeliness of progress to remedy. Maintaining Protiviti reporting to Group covering first line risk & controls. Provide resilience support to acquisitions, bids, disposals and assist the business where required. Share resilience and risk intelligence across the CPSL business unit and Group to promote resilience and good practice. Manage relationship and contract with recovery providers (Daisy Allvotec). Collaborate with support functions such as HSE, Facilities, IT and Information Security to assess controls for risk assessment and coordinate support for incident management purposes. Manage exceptions and waiver process for any BC activities that require postponing or cancellation; gain approval from CPSL RACC and Group Resilience, and track until closure date. Conduct third-party supplier and OSP due diligence to ensure service is resilient and that the BC solution is viable in line with expectations Provide sessions to improve performance across all levels of colleagues within the CPSL business unit and provide support to wider Capita Group to increase best practice learning opportunities What are we looking for: Experience in a Business Continuity role in the financial services sector Strong stakeholder management skills and be able to work with and influence the senior leadership team Excellent understanding of Business Continuity activities/project plans/BAU activities including record management and disaster recovery scenario testing Demonstrate an active role in project meetings taking the lead for Business Continuity Able to evaluate, review, facilitate and implement process improvement initiatives and projects across the teams in a competent and consistent manner Design and provide training sessions and materials to improve performance across all levels of colleagues within Capita Pensions Solutions and provide support to the wider Capita Group to increase best practice learning opportunities.
