Team/Role Overview
This role is part of the Preventative Booking Controls team which is part of the Markets Operational Risk Department.
Booking Controls focus on what is booked where, and why – ensuring adherence to business, desk and individual trader mandates, and also ensuring the integrity of legal entities in preventing material booking errors. Booking Controls also focus on how a trade is booked – ensuring Front Office bookings are accurate, timely and complete in order to proceed downstream and onwards to internal/external reporting and stakeholder groups
The role is part of the Markets Front Office organisation and will be a key part of the in-business Risk & Control team responsible for overseeing preventative size and price booking controls including data analysis and threshold calibration on Venue Provided Applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a practically minded, professional with an in-depth knowledge of traded products combined with a clear understanding of Front Office trading preventative controls. The team has coverage across all Markets businesses globally, multiple risk and technology functions enabling the candidate the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple stakeholders and for career development.
What youll do
Work in partnership with Product areas to ensure adherence to the Venue Provided Applications Risk Assessment Framework.Work with both 1LoD and 2LoD partners to ensure Risk Assessments of VPAs are completed on a timely basis.Analyse and review data with the ability to test in accordance with defined testing methodology, identify gaps and implement corrective action.Partner with product area stakeholders to remediate identified gaps.Define business expectations for proposed controls in order to meet the regulatory commitments and business objectives.Work with Second Line of Defence stakeholders to ensure there is oversight on identified gaps and action plans.Partner with Product Area and Technology teams as part of co-ordinated approach to deliverables.Co-ordinate with defining User Acceptance Testing scenarios and output review.Work with Audit and other Control groups to investigate control failures and drive forward control enhancement initiativesContribute to project management activities governing controls implementation, including dashboard creation and reporting to Project stakeholdersWhat well need from you
Significant experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or other control functionKnowledge and familiarity with the operation of Trade Venues is a plus.Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsData analytic skills are a plus.What we can offer you
