Role information
You’ll play a key role in shaping impactful communications that influence prospective students at critical decision-making points of the cycle, helping the University achieve its recruitment and engagement goals. You will deliver engaging, data-led CRM campaigns that support applications, offer acceptances, and wider University objectives.
Main activities and responsibilities
Support the delivery and ongoing success of the University’s CRM strategy through high-quality, engaging campaigns.Create and refine compelling CRM content that tells a clear story and resonates with target audiences.Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using insight to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.Work collaboratively across departmental teams to plan and deliver a cohesive cycle of communications.Interpret data to understand how CRM activity contributes to wider goals such as driving applications and offer acceptances.Maintain accurate and compliant data within the CRM system, ensuring data is collected, segmented, and stored correctly.Identify, investigate, and resolve data and performance issues within the CRM database.Track, analyse, and report on campaign effectiveness through email performance metrics.Ensure GDPR compliance when handling high volumes of personal data.Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience using a CRM system in depth, with confidence in data management and segmentation.Strong creative copywriting and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences.Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting campaign performance data.Understanding of GDPR and best practice for handling personal data.Desirable
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM platform.Knowledge of HTML coding.Experience working with a CMS.Experience marketing to or engaging younger audiences (17–24-year-olds).The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
