Job Description: Cardiology Assistant East London Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours) Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday work Competitive Salary We make health happen This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology service within a state-of-the-art Specialist Diagnostics & Dental Centre. Opening in 2026, the centre will feature advanced facilities including MRI, CT, X-ray, and mammography, delivering high-quality care in a modern environment designed for clinical excellence. As a Cardiology Assistant, youâll play a key role in supporting the delivery of world-class cardiology care, working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient journeys and outstanding experiences. How youâll help us make health happen Perform and assist with specialised diagnostic tests, including 12-lead ECG, ambulatory ECG, Holter monitoring, and blood pressure assessments. Carry out venepuncture and record clinical observations accurately. Interpret ECG recordings and escalate abnormalities promptly. Set up and fit Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitors. Manage patient pathways, liaising with consultants, nursing, and admin teams to ensure smooth transitions. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with data protection and governance standards. Support cardiologists with clinic preparation, patient files, and scheduling. Monitor and maintain equipment, consumables, and infection control standards. Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings. Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold Bupa commitment to patient-centred care. Key Skills / Qualifications Essential: A-level standard education or equivalent. Venepuncture/cannulation skills. Experience performing ECGs and working in a healthcare assistant or health advisor role. Strong communication skills and patient-centred approach. Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and as part of a team. Desirable: Healthcare-related degree. ECG interpretation skills. Experience in a cardiology setting.
