Catering Assistant – CASUAL (with future possibility of permanent)- term time only

Required as soon as possible, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed catering assistant to assist with the day to day running and operation of the school kitchen at St Mary’s. The position is varied and rewarding, ensuring pupils are served a delicious, healthy school meal. You will need to be hard working, flexible and have good timekeeping.

This position involves working in the school kitchen, assisting in the preparation of food, helping to set out and clear away tables and chairs for school lunches each day, serving meals to pupils and adults, and cleaning and tidying away after service, maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times. A Basic Food Hygiene qualification would be beneficial, however, training can be given.

This is a casual post to cover busy periods and staff absence, therefore the ideal candidate will be available at short notice (possibly on the day) to cover hours of 11.45am to 2pm. There is more than one role available, applications will be reviewed regularly and interviews will take place on a rolling basis.
