What the day will look like

Serve as a member of the Global Claims Leadership Team, representing and influencing the EMEA region.Act as a senior leader within the Commercial Risk Regional Leadership Team, aligning Claims with broader business priorities.Lead regional change efforts, simplify operational complexities, and drive cross-border alignment.Deliver on Aon’s Claims Advocacy value proposition, managing senior escalations on complex or high-impact claims.Ensure consistent delivery of advisory support across the region, strengthening client satisfaction and retention.Strengthen engagement with carriers across Continental Europe, representing the Voice of the Client.Provide strategic insights to InPoint and other internal partners to enhance carrier performance and product development.Identify and drive claims-related revenue opportunities, including advocacy success fees, audits, workshops, analytics, and valuable services.Sponsor and champion global Claims platforms and data capabilities (e.g., Aon claims copilot).Promote the use of analytics and insights to improve client outcomes, operational performance, and commercial opportunities.Collaborate closely with ABS (Aon Business Service) to innovate and accelerate the claims service delivery model across the region.Support new business by clearly articulating Aon’s differentiated claims approach, demonstrating success stories and value drivers.Participate in E&O and Risk Committee activities, sharing lessons learned, highlighting trends, and driving accountability for continuous improvement.Develop and implement the talent strategy for Claims in EMEA, including succession planning, performance management, and recruitment.Build an inclusive, development-focused culture aligned with Aon’s leadership values.Represent Aon externally through industry committees, advisory boards, conferences, and publications.Position Aon as an inspiring leader in claims strategy, market trends, and client advocacy.

This role coordinates all aspects of Commercial Risk claims service delivery, ensures execution of the global Claims strategy, and plays a pivotal role in driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic carrier partnerships.Operating as part of both the Global Claims Leadership Team and Commercial Risk Regional Leadership Team, the Chief Claims Officer EMEA will shape the regional claims vision, lead organizational change, champion the client advocacy value proposition, and elevate Aon’s market profile.The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional collaborator leadership, deep technical expertise, and strong commercial and analytical skills

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

 

• Strong claims technical expertise across major commercial lines.• Deep understanding of carrier operations, decision-making, and regulatory environments.• Proven ability to lead regional, multi-country teams in a matrixed organization.• Experience driving transformation, simplifying processes, and developing talent.• Senior-level handling of complex and high-severity claims.• Ability to build trust and influence clients, carriers, and senior internal partners.• Strong commercial attitude with experience identifying claims-related revenue opportunities.• Excellent negotiation skills with carriers and large clients.• Comfortable using analytics, insights, and digital claims platforms to drive decisions and improve performance.• Clear, compelling communicator with strong presentation skills and market credibility.• Advanced English (C1 or C2)
