The University of Nottingham, in partnership with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), is seeking promising individuals for its Clinical Lectureship program. Important Considerations for Your Application:

  • Eligibility Requirements: Prospective candidates must be GMC registered with a license to practice. Crucially, you must already possess a higher research degree (PhD or MD by research or equivalent) to be considered. Please ensure you meet all essential criteria outlined in the person specification.
  • Application Process: A critical component of your application is the completion and upload of the NIHR's supplementary questions. These are available via a specific link and are mandatory. Applications submitted without these supplementary questions will not be considered.
  • Contract Duration: The post is offered on a fixed-term contract, with the duration being up to 4 years for full-time positions or up to 6 years on a pro-rata basis for part-time roles. The tenure is capped by the award of your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), whichever is shorter.
  • Start Date: Successful applicants are required to be in post before 31 August 2026.
  • Work Arrangements: This position can be undertaken on a full-time basis or part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE), offering some flexibility to accommodate individual needs.
  • Secondment Opportunities: Internal candidates may be considered for secondment, provided prior agreement has been secured from both their current line manager and the manager of their substantive post.
  • Interview Dates: Please note that interviews are scheduled to take place on 15th December 2025.
